Re: Linux Mint 4.0 Official Release

Hi all. I just did an upgrade from Celena, and had a few small problems. Just thought I'd put them here in case others see them.

- After the 'apt upgrade's the main menu was missing. It stayed missing for the rest of the process. When logging out and back in I got an error: "The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAF:GNOME_mintMenu". The mintmenu package wasn't installed. I installed it and all is well.

- The upgrade instructions say to edit the desktop files in /usr/share/desktop/kde. I had no such directory, but found them in /usr/share/applications/kde.

- In /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default, there is no BACKGROUNDCOLOR. There is a BACKCOLOR. Is this the one that needs to be changed?

- Is there a package somewhere to change the Celena references in the user interface? Or is there a setting to change at lease the one on the main menu?

Thanks. Nice distribution anyway!

I suppose that you mean Celena not Daryna on the "menu button"
Right click > Properties and you see it

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
