did a fresh install. works great with ATI drivers. but having a few problems.

1. Mouse - whenever I'm typing I notice that wherever the cursor is, It will randomly go to the window or area that the cursor is at, interrupting my type. a minor inconvenience but still annoying regardless. i'm taking extra care not to hit the touchpad on my laptop but it seems that it may not be the problem. any ideas for a fix? or how to disable touchpad to try and pinpoint if its my clumsy hands or not?

2. Keyboard. it seems that my function keys aren't working as they're supposed to. for example mute, volume control, brightness, etc.

and 3. My audio doesn't work. where can i check to see which audio hardware is being used?

well finished installing updates and restarted and the sound started working. at least thats solved.

any help with my other issues. theyre quite annoying
