Hello everyone,
Out of curiosity, i have tried to install MATE on Mint 12 LXDE, and failed
Has anyone managed to do this?
I follow the instructions from http://wiki.mate-desktop.org/download#ubuntu , but when i try to install the mate-core package, i get this error and i'm never able to fix the broken dependences (even through Synaptic):
apt-get install mate-core

Depends: mate-system-monitor but it is not going to be installed
Depends: mate-terminal but it is not going to be installed
Depends: mate-text-editor but it is not going to be installed

Has anyone managed to install MATE? Am i doing something wrong, missing anything, or there is just some general system-wide incompatibility?
Thanks and best wishes,
Bruno
