Found a weather applet for LXDE

Post by Miami592 »

Hi all.

Many have asked about a weather applet for LXDE. I have been using Weather Indicator from the Mint repos but it has been buggy in LXDE. In fact for the past 48 hrs or so it has been useless on all my machines. It is stuck on "refreshing" and utterly worthless.

I did some studying and came across one called my-weather-indicator. It is very similar but so far today it has actually been working.

Here is a link to where I found it:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/30334/wh ... -available

This page covers several different indicators. My-weather-indicators is about 60% down the page.

It can be installed via the command line by using the following codes:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install my-weather-indicator
I hope this proves useful,

M5
