Using fluxbox mint 9 and there is a toolbar config option for placement but it does not work. Is there another way to place the toolbar on the top of the screen? Why is there a gui if it does nothing?

I could use the code if so...

Thanks.

A quick search or even scrolling down the Fluxbox section in this forum would have answered your question.

What is the point of having a toolbar placement script in the menu if its worthless? Makes no sense to me...ditch it and add a link to the difficult to understand tint2 wiki then. My2Cents.

You're welcome.

That whole section of the menu is generated by Fluxbox automatically and that particular entry is for Fluxbox's own toolbar. Anyway, Fluxbox is meant to be a minimalistic window manager and thus requires the user to have some knowledge of the system. In a default Fluxbox setup you do not get much of a menu at all; one entry to exit and one to start xterm. If you feel it is too complicated for you, then maybe the LXDE would be more to your liking. Otherwise you can always submit a bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint

What about to have a submenu in the right click menu similar to the one that crunchbang has which contains the config files that users most likely want to edit?

So you can open the startup file, the conky config file, the tint2 config file etc.. with a few clicks.

The provision for these entries has been made in Mint-FM2. http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/96 Look at "Custom menu entries file"
