Linux Mint 9 "Isadora" - Fluxbox CD (32-bit)
This is what I get every time I try and boot into Linux Mint 9:
Glib-warning **: get pwuid_r(): failed due to unknown user Id (0).
I have tried it on 3 diff computers from P4 to Core 2 Duo computers.. I get the same error. I have tried to boot on Live CD and USB.
Please help?

How do I fix it?
Is this bug in all Linux Mint 9 Editions or just Gnome? I'm thinking switch to LXDE or Xfce.

I'd start by reading the information at the link I provided, and any subsequent links to see what others have tried and worked.
I casually read adding no_acpi to the boot parameter or re-installing Plymouth worked.

It is a gnome bug, not specific to Linux Mint.

It is not a Gnome bug. It's a Plymouth bug, but it's true that this bug is not specific to Linux Mint.
It can happen in all flavours of Mint 9 and 10.
In Linux Mint 11 it's fixed, and LM 11 LXDE RC will be released soon.
