add startup application in lxde

i'm trying to add OSMO to my startup. I want it to start with LXDE launch. i'm lost. i checked so earlier posts but stating you just add a .desktop file to ~/.config/autostart is too complex for a newbee like me. can you walk me thru step by step. thanks
