Desktop right-click changed / removing openbox menu?

Seems lots of people having a similar problem. Basically I clicked a tickbox I shouldn't have such that instead of bringing up desktop settings when I right-click on the desktop, I bring up what I think is an openbox menu.
I've searched on here and found what I thought was a solution (using: pcmanfm --desktop-pref). This brings up the settings menu I was after but doesn't remove the openbox menu when I right-click. Surely this is simple to undo?
Can someone please advise. Thanks.

You have it - "pcmanfm --desktop-pref". Click the
advanced tab and uncheck the box that brings up menu.

Now I'm the idiot. I may have had an ADHD moment and been distracted, but I have a similar problem, and using "pcmanfm --desktop-pref" in CL doesn't do much for me. Brings up the appropriate menu, but with a number of debug mssgs in CL, and when I try to apply any change, I get this mssg in CL:
(pcmanfm:1804): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to store changes into `/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel', but failed: Failed to create file '/root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel.O96VBW': No such file or directory
I have recently returned to Unix/Linux after a couple of decades, so I am sort of rebooting my knowledge base. I can say, I think, that this ain't what I want to see, so any suggestions/comments would be helpful, and if you want to chuckle first, that's just fine, since that's what I did.
Also, if this should be posted, or reposted, in another forum section, let me know where and I'll get it done.
Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the post and the answer.
First venture into Linux and I clicked the same box not knowing exactly what it did. (need to stop doing that)
Solved with a quick search.
Thanks again.

First, just curious why so many of you are anxious to get rid of the openbox menu. I think it is a great tool to supplement taskbar launchers. See
http://douwil7.100webspace.net/linux/Tuning.html#3 for ways to modify it or remove it (just rename pertinent directory or directories).
The link has a picture of a piece of one of my openbox menus complete with icons. Pretty, and quicker than the Main Menu for launching, but probably not quite as quick as a taskbar icon which requires only one click. On the other hand, taskbars can get filled quickly with a small screen or when many applications are open.

I guess that if you're after a windows style environment / experience, the openbox menu looks a bit 'texty' rather than GUI. I supposed also people want to make changes but be able to reverse them easily while it's not obvious how to do that with this.
The link is very good - worth spending the time and reading / learning more about LXDE / Linux. Cheers.
