pppoe.conf bug

Postby KodachiKun on Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:40 pm

Hey guys!

I'm new in this community, I've discovered it while searching for a solution to a (seemingly) very common problem of linux mint users... The missing pppoe.conf bug ): (Well, that's what I think went wrong) I've been looking around for a solution for some time, but I don't really get what I have to do. I'm a almost a total noob at programming, I'm trying to learn, but slowly.
This is why I decided to write you guys... What do I need to do? pppoeconf, as well as pppoe-setup doesn't work (it doesn't find the /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf directory/file, whatever it was), it seems I already have ppp, pppoe.conf.

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section ^^''

Uh, if you need the version I'm using, just remind me the command I have to use... I forgot it. Sorry ):

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I think all in ubuntu variant , dial up is handled by modem manager ( part of network manager ). I don't know if it wrong or not, but in LM ( i use from LM 11) my dial up EVDO modem can be use from network connection.
