My Network Manager has went on vacase help!--solved

Postby Analog_Dreams on Thu Aug 02, 2012 8:55 pm

So one day, my network manager just completely disappeared. During boot, I get messages like "waiting for network configuration", "waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration", and then "booting system without full network configuration". There is no Network Manager icon at all on the lower right of the screen where there used to be. I finally got the internet configured manually, but I'd like to have the Network Manager back so I don't have to manually configure, and so that boot doesn't take 5 minutes lol

How do I do it, guys? I know it's probably something simple, but being a newb, even simple eludes me sometimes.

EDIT; I"m running 13, Mate version

EDIT #2; and now my internet isn't working again on the 13 box...I"m typing this on my Windoze 7 machine right next to it. What is wreaking havoc with my internet connection on the 13 comp?

Manual configuration and network manager are mutually exclusive! In order for anyone to help you need to provide more information about what changes you have made.

I decided to save my files to disc and then do a reinstall; everything works fine now. Thanks for the reply, remoulder
