Switching routers disconnects network

Post by eldiener »

I recently started using UVerse from AT&T and therefore switched my router connection from a WNDR3800 to a NVG510. I multi-boot a number of OSs inclusing Mint. All the other OSs ( Windows 7, Vista, other Linux distros ) pick up the new router/ADSL2 modem connection automatically with no problems connecting to the Internet. But when I boot Mint 14 ( KDE ) , for some reason the network is always down and my Internet connection is disconnected.

Any ideas how I can get Mint to use my new router and connect to the Internet ?

Have you checked the settings in network connections and changed the IP address of the gateway and DNS server?
