I have setup static IP address and DNS in my "Network" settings.
What happens is that if I boot and launch a browser then I get the warning that I am not connected to the internet (connection error in the browser),
what I must do is enter in my Network settings, select "My Computer", go through the settings (I do NOT change them), then simply confirm them, then exit.
At this point the browser can connect to the internet!
I think it is kind of crazy! In my Network settings I always read "Point-to point connection not configured". Cannot understand why?
It seems like I must tell the system each time to use "My Computer"
What is wrong with that?
Am I mistaking something?
Thanks a lot.
