SOLVED: Neither Wireless Nor Wired Working

Post by wmeler »

For some reason my friend's laptop has zero connectivity. The following is the output when plugged in (like normal--on the same cable that I'm currently on right now) and with the wireless switch on his laptop on. (The LED is on.)

Here's the output I thought might be helpful...let me know what else you need to get this fixed.

Re: Neither Wireless Nor Wired Working

I notice one thing:
you say the wireless is on and the wire is plugged in.
Sometimes a computer only does wireless or wired, not both simultanious.
Did you try wired with wireless turned off?
Or wireless without the wire plugged in?
Also sometimes the BIOS has possibilities to alter the behaviour of wired and wireless and automatic switchover.
Add (Solved) to the topic-title of the first post when appropriate so others know they might find a solution here.
