So, I have this and it's not working. I edited wvdial.conf correctly but when i try to eject the CD it, it says that it doesn't exist.
I do eject /dev/scd1 and it says that the device isn't found.

also when I do sudo wvdial nova it goes

Cannot open ttyUSB0, can not find file or device.

Does anyone know how to get this to work? It worked perfectly on open suse.

I think the reason it reads as a CD-ROM is because of the built in SDCard reader (only if I knew how to disable it)

No. I don't feel the need to rewrite anything, what I will do instead is give you the install intructions for linux.

I've followed all these instructions, and have gotten it to work on another distro on the same PC.

The Usb Aircard reads as a cd. On open suse, I do the following

sudo eject /dev/scd1
wvdial nova

Presto! Internet.

On Mint, it says that the device does not exist.

Clearly, in the instructions it says you have to do this for Ubuntu and Fedora. I tried it on Mint, which is based off Ubuntu so it should work. Yet it isn't. Does anyone know what the problem is here? Many thanks in advance
