[SOLVED]Wired connection connects and reconnects constantly

GUI Method via Network Manager (Ubuntu 11.10)
Follow the GUI Method via Network Manager (Ubuntu 9.10 and up) below but there is a bug which turn off and on the share connection. The workaround for now is to set IPv6 options to Ignore and then sudo killall dnsmasq. Reconnect and it should work.

Hello.

I'm trying to set up connection sharing in Mint 12. I want to share my wireless with my Xbox 360 via and ethernet cable, however, the stinking thing keeps connecting and disconnecting. I know this isn't a problem with my Xbox as it worked in LMDE before I decided to install Mint 12 (LMDE was causing non related problems). It'll say that the connection has been established to the wired network, and then it'll say it was disconnected. And it'll keep alternating between the two. Any ideas as to what is going on?

FYI, I am about ready to get rid of Linux as far as internet connecting sharing to my 360 goes. This doesn't mean I wont use Mint as my main OS, because I will. It's the only one on my laptop, and the computer that I wanna use for connection sharing is an old P4 Dell. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Well, it doesn't even work with Mint 12 on my laptop. It just keeps saying "Connection Failed - Activation of network connection failed".

I would like to note that I got it working again. *sigh*

It was all my fault. I completely missed a very important step: setting IPV6 to Ignore and removing dnsmasq.
