I understand that Mint 8 will have support "OEM" installs. So what does that mean? I know OEM = original equipment manufacture but so what.
Could someone shed some light?
What does OEM do for us.

Well, for me personally, I save computers headed for the landfill, fix 'em up, and donate them. Using an OEM Install, I can customize the install, and then the first time user gets presented with the prompts to set up their name, username, password, etc.
That way I don't have to set it up with a generic username & password.
