That sounds like a great idea! There will not be any residual config files to waste the desktop! The last two KDE editions were fine until I removed the residual config files,(I lost the whole Mint configured desktop both times.)

Starting with the Ubuntu minimal install should make for a very stable system!

Hi so you mean to say after ubuntu 7.10 we ll get daryna very soon?What should we expect from daryna?

I think it would be easier to keep cutting down your current version and then when 7.10 comes out dist-upgrade and clean/fix up from there.

the minimal ubuntu versions are not live so that will give you more challenges to build a mini edition but it would be great for older computers.
