I love the orgiinal, looks more like a "real logo".
Where as the oher just looks like a banner for like an older linux mint.


AlsoI feel if mint ever does some kind of store thing the LM Logo could be out on better, like the Unbuntu logo thingy.

Just over all I see no reason to change

I'm all for losing the word "Linux" from Linux Mint. It's just unnecessary as the OS evolves IMHO. "MintOS" sounds so much mintier!
