This questions is for newbs as well as novel users since i need ideas as much as guides! (Use your fantasies, i have lost mine)
On my Network i cant of some reason get the VPN to work with network manager, i can only get it to work in the terminal /etc/***/openvpn start and not enough with that i have to chang the nameservers manually each time i log on to internet(So each time i reboot or each time i the take out the ethernet cable of the laptop, yes i use a laptop, thats why it is a problem) Or it isnt a problem(Not a big problem though) when i am the root user, but since that is the most "non-secure" method of using the computer and i want to could log in as a guest or a standard user and have the VPN up and running automatically(Or just using the graphical interface as u turn on and off ethernet/wireless e.g.. Like in standard ubuntu.. ? Why is that not here? I see why some things are removed from the regular ubuntu, but not why that interface is removed.
But anyway(little oftopic there):
And i also want this because i have to change the nameservers manually each time i start the vpn as well(I dont have this problem with another computer on another network.., but with the same vpn) Something that in the after some months im very tired of doing.. Im sure most of you see my "concern". This is OpenVPN btw!
So how can i get the computer to start vpn at startup e.g? Or could i maybe run as a virtual client inside my own compouter and have the computer running as a server, but i still need it to connect to the vpn automatically each time it is disconnected, because i have had a lot of security issues so i dont leave the computer running on internet when im not on the computer anymore..(Thats also a reason i was thinking about a virtual account so all the setting are the same anyway, and all the files i save can i save in a cloud or something like that? Without loosing any security, just log in and out if i get any problems:) )
What do you guys(and girls) think? TIps and ideas is much appreciated!
Thanks up front!
