Networked 2 Linux machines, can ping

Postby mzsade on Mon Jul 30, 2012 6:25 am

Hi, Managed to get the set up right since ping works but that's about all i know how to do. I have 2 Linux Mint machines connected with a crossover. I want to dd(clone) a partition from one machine onto a partition of the other machine. Where do i begin? I can't see anything in Network other than a "Windows Network".

Edit: Found this, hopefully it will do it for me; http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/814

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Rsync is faster than dd.
