Remmina: RDP & SSH will not connect any machine on my LAN

I have a home network of 6 computers. 2 linuxmint 13 mate, 1 windows xp, 2 windows vista, and 2 windows 7 machines. A linksys router is routing. All machines are updated to the latest patches. All are on the same segment.
I am not able to remote desktop to any of them with remmina. I have tried using the IP addresses and share paths, with user names and passwords (or without) that are of the main users of the system and still no luck, it always says "unable to connect to RDP server.
I am not even able to "sh" or "ssh" between the two linux machines and they programs are installed.
I can ping any machine in the network.
On both of the linux machines it shows in the "Start Up Applications" that Gnome Desktop Sharing is checked (so it should be enabled) but when I look at the command I find this
Is that right? I don't want to mess with it until I am sure that changing that 'disable' to 'enable' is what I should do.
Any help would be appreciated.
