Openvpn doesn't automatically connect on boot

Yes, I've checked "autoconnect" in network manager, but it still doesn't work. It wouldn't be much of a problem but since I'm also trying to mount a folder with fstab that depends on being connected to vpn this rainbows up my whole configuration. I'd be happy for your ideas, thanks :)

edit: Oh and it's openvpn by the way in case that makes any difference.

Sorry but this is not going to work. Mount via fstab is done at boot but the network connection would not be established until you login. To do what you want you would have to use manually configured networking, i.e. not using Network Manager, but I don't know how you would connect to a vpn this way.

Mh, that's bad news. Mounting the folder was the only option I saw that would allow me to achieve playing my music. You don't happen to know any music player that would just allow me to play it via smb do you?
