Hi there,
I'm trying to setup a VPN connection using OpenVPN, but when I open the Network Connections window and click Add, I can only select PPTP (it's the only protocol option under VPN). I've already installed following packages, but even then, it doesn't work:
- openvpn
- network-manager-openvpn
Does anyone know a solution? I'm using Qiana 64-bit with Cinnamon.
Thanks!

Re: OpenVPN not selectable/available (Qiana 64-bit Cinnamon)
Oh dear, it seems I've run into this bug: #1275996
The workaround ("sudo openvpn <openVPN-config-file>.ovpn") seems to work, but that's a real PIA...

Re: [SOLVED] OpenVPN not selectable (Qiana 64-bit Cinnamon)
With the advent of Mint 17(.1), VPN is now selectable as a new type of network connection. I can finally connect in a more comfortable way to my VPN server. Hurray.
