Yes, gvfs-fuse is installed.
Yes, I'm in the fuse group.
Yes, the share exists
Yes, the server is online
Yes, the cable is inserted
Yes, the flux capasitor generates 1gigawatt
etc.etc.

Couple of things:
* have you logged out and logged back in again after you added yourself to the fuse group?
* Does the remote share require authentication?
