like to share an internet 3G connection

Hallo,
at home I'm using an 3G(UMTS)-Router for all applications - it works very well.
Outside I want to use the 3G Internet-connection with only one UMTS-Stick over Wlan for two PC's/Smartphones.
I ask/hope for an instruction to install an (ad-hoc???) network, to use the UMTS/network together with one stick.

I don't have wireless, but i am sharing my EVDO connection use wired cable. My experience , both IPv6 must set to ignore, and I don't need using "sudo killall dnsmasq" command.

Thanks, I am a layman, so far I'm having trouble empathize, your tips.
In addition, English is a foreign language for me.
I was hoping to find a short description. In WinXP this should be a simple problem.
Unfortunately, so seemingly banal things in Linux some incredibly tricky.
I love working with Linux (Mint11), but this is not always a joy.

From i read in various web, maybe this one works :

Install dnsmasq-base if not already installed

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install dnsmasq-base

search"network connection" from menu, open that application
at wireless tab select add, you can define a Network Name (SSID) , change mode to Adhoc.
at IPv4 tab change method to "shared to other computer"
at IPv6 tab change method to"ignore"
at wireless security select none ( you can change it later ), SAVE IT.
restart network manager ( by disable and enable network connection ). Try with other pc/smartphone if your new created SSID is detected.

I've done this installation first on both machines.
Than I deleted it on the second computer and the connection was possible!

Now I look to give the internet connection free
