LM 14 KDE Videos running slow and Update Manager

Hello, i had installed Linux Mint 13 Maya Cinnamon before, the videos ran fine and all good, i saw Linux Mint 14 KDE, and i deleted LM13 and installed this version (LM 14 KDE), now the videos run DEAD SLOW, audio is good but the videos almost don't run, VLC, Kaffeine, none of them works well for me. I didn't had this problem with the LM13 Cinnamon, there is something wrong?, still in "BETA" or something like that?

And also the Update Manager, doesn't wanna run either, i click to open, it asks me the Root password i put it and then it doesn't do anything. No matter how many times i try.

Somebody else have this problems, could you help?, sorry for my english.
