After another M$ win failure more and more users are going to choose linux. But for a new user the ideology "We are the best and we don't care whether you like us or not." is hard to adopt. I mean there are lots of people who for some reason don't like windows or mac. If there is a easy documentation that teaches them on linux basics - for example - how to install drivers, how to install skype, how to search for programs, helpful links, which are the alternatives on the windows programs they use daily and so on. Then the user will see that linux is not so hard or different from win or mac and linux people will multiply. This documentation/user guide/linux mint cookbook/definitive guide can be translated to other languages by volunteers.

There already are tons of documents explaining how to do all those things you mentioned. A quick Google search and you'll find what you need. People need to actually put the effort to learn Linux--nobody here is paid to hold your hands throughout the journey, or wipe your butt for that matter.
If people want to learn Linux, that's on them; if they don't want to put in their own effort in learning the basics, then "gtfo" or "rtfm" is what old time Linux users are going to flat-out tell them, like it or not. Think of it like this: Mac OS is like kindergarten; Windows OS is like high-school; and Linux is like university. You can do virtually nothing in kindergarten up till high-school (and still pass and graduate), but if you don't put in hard work in university, then chances are you'll fail, drop out, and be working at McDonalds quite soon.

What bed will you choose :
1. First bed - in the manual is written "Best bed ever. Build it on your own and if you don't know "how to" - google it, otherwise ** you"
2. Second one - "Step one- unpack the parts, Step two - join 1a with ......, Step three - enjoy your bed and have a good night!"
Most of the people will choose the second one.
Yes, nobody pays you to do this but there are many advantages of attracting new users.
