If you ask for promotional material, maybe we should first have a look
on the existing material.
The screenshots on linuxmint.com are from Linux Mint 5 (Elyssa),
it's time to change them, I think most users decide to
switch to mint after seeing the screenshots.
Everything looks different now,
from the gfxgrub, bootsplash and login screen in dew design to the new shiki theme.
I think there is nothing to hide, it looks much better now and the look
is a great goal for Linux Mint, so why are there still these very old ones?
The screenshots placed directly on the startpage are a very good institution in my opinion,
but I'd like to see even more, if we want to get users from windows who never had a linux distro,
we have to show them everything from the loading screen of the live CD to the installer and
the installing progress to show them that there is nothing to fear. Perhaps we could even make
a short movie about using Linux MInt 7.
Maybe someone can make new screenshots which show every aspect of linux Mint 7, I'd do it
myself, but I only have the german language packs installed.
