Mint is on flattr:
https://flattr.com/thing/40006/Linux-MintFlattr is my preferred way to donate and has a promising future. It would be good if flattr buttons were put on the websites.
I'm thinking at least as an option on the
donations page and possibly on the
blog. It would also be nice to see Flattr donations mentioned in the monthly stats.

Mmmm!
http://kmacphail.blogspot.com/2011/04/f ... ction.htmlI would think that a direct contribution to a Linux distribution or other Open Source project is a better approach, rather than some middleman process, run by who knows whom?
I believe the problem with any web site that aggregates contributions or says they do for others, is that there is no way to know for sure
--at least for charities there are some vetting organizations that track the contributions(cash), so that people have an idea how the money is getting there
