LM 13: Cinnimon and Mate 64 bit: Lost Desktop Issue

Postby Cybertek on Tue Jul 17, 2012 6:41 am

I have never had to report an issue related to LM as of yet. If I am not in the correct spot, then please redirect me as needed. Here is the issue, I use the Crtl + Alt+ F? series to open my tty sessions, but when I try and return to the GUI using F7 I get this error " Cannot write bytes: Broken pipe" and the screen stays black. Only on a forced reboot do I get the GUI to return as normal. I have not tried this on the 32 bit version yet. :?

Basically if F7 doesn't work, try F8, then F9 etc. Eventually you get to a working desktop.
