Preferred Media player started up by itself

After the last few update( I think problem started after the group of update on 5th of July), the preferred media player start up by itself randomly. I know it is the preferred application problem because if I set it to Banshee, the banshee player started up, but if I set it to movie player, the totem movie player come up randomly! Usually it happen when I move the curcer around when I play a movie or on a browser. anyone have the same problem and solution!
