language setting bug?

I've posted this earlier but i think this might be a bug in Mint, see http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=96287.

When i install Mint 12, the system language is English by default, even when i choose my language (Dutch) at the start of the installation procedure.

After finishing the installation procedure, i change the default system language from English to Dutch. However, after removing the English language files and installing the Dutch language files, i also get Chinese language files. I found the same bug under Xubuntu as well (http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=6411).

Does anyone has an idea of whats going on?
