In case this helps, here's the burn log from Brasero, including Simulation: Any ideas what's gone wrong????
BraseroWodim Launching command
BraseroWodim called brasero_job_get_fd_out
BraseroWodim stderr: wodim: Operation not permitted. Warning: Cannot raise RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limits.scsidev: '/dev/sr0'
It helped, but I was aware of that problem/bug already, and I only needed the error msg, not the whole dumphttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/397412
Try xfburn, it doesn't use the same library to write a disk as Brasero does (Wodim)
apt search xfburn
p xfburn - CD-burner application for Xfce Desktop Env

Xfburn is a simple CD/DVD burning tool based on libburnia libraries. It can blank CD-RWs, burn and create iso images, as well as burn personal compositions of data to either CD or DVD.
