last week (because of updates?) my PC has issues

every time I turn on my PC

either the screen freezes and the keyboard + mouse do not work

or the keyboard stops working (although the mouse works)

either the screen goes green with white stripes ..

Thanks in advance I have unsuccessfully searched for solutions on google

I tried

sudo apt-get update in terminal and then''sudo apt-get upgrade

Then I made an update via the Synaptic manager but no better driver was suggested ..
