Hello,
I have an old machine running mint 11 lxde. It has an intermittent (much more frequent than not) problem talking to my kobo touch ereader.
The ereader plugs into the usb socket (direct, not through a hub) and a dialogue appears asking if I want to connect it to the computer as a usb drive. On all other computers I've tried (laptops and desktops running various types of linux) I tell it to connect, it mounts as a usb drive and works just fine. On the mint lxde computer, the 'connect' dialogue appears briefly on the ereader screen then disappears again. It is not listed in lsusb. It seems to lose the connection instantly.
Very occasionally however it works.
Other usb devices, including my phone, connect with no problem. Changing usb socket makes no difference.
Both computer and ereader are up to date.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Laura Rhian.
