Enabling Multimedia Keys?

I have a Pavilion dm1 netbook running Mint LXDE, the brightness keys run out-of-the-box but the volume and mute keys don't work. At the moment, I use the volume control manually by scrolling the wheel on the volume icon in the AvantWindowNavigator panel.

"+Volume Up" *should be 'F10', "-Volume Down" *should be 'F9' and "xMute" *should be 'F11'.

Is there a way to map these keys to those functions please? Cheers
