Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to Linux, but otherwise an intermediate user =)
I decided to check out Linux because I want a lighting fast experience. I can't stand when the system is slow / unresponsive. Now I've made several attempts, first with Ubuntu 12.04, then with Mint 12 LXDE, and the thing is happening: the system is sluggish, much more so than it is with windows xp / windows 7 on the same computer.
The computer is fast enough to handle windows 7 well, but Linux is sluggish? How can this be? It's a 1GB RAM DDR2; Intel Core 2 Duo E6000
Any ideas, suggestions?
Thank you!
