Switch Between Laptop and Mini-PC?

Is there a hardware solution to switch between Laptop (Windows 8 CP) and Mini-PC (Linux) for the sole reason of using the same keyboard and display?

How do you mean "switching"? You want to use the same monitor and keyboard/mouse for both computers? In that case you need a KVM switch.

Do you have recommendations for a switch box for USB?

I intend to plug the keyboard and mouse to a USB adapter and then the USB adapter to the USB switch box.

There are combined "KVM" switches for both USB and VGA for that (though most of them have VGA and 2x PS/2 instead). Belkin has some good ones. There also exist switches that don't correctly pass the monitor's maximum resolution or try to mess up with the refresh rate, however.
But indeed, separate USB switches also exist.
