Live Streaming On Linux

Hi! A week ago I can live streaming on my port, on my windows with WMEncoder... But I want to do live streaming on my port with mine Linux Mint. I can highly reccommend a product called subsonic. It allows you to stream music and films. You can find it at http://www.subsonic.org/pages/index.jsp

I could be mistaken, but I believe he meant live streaming as in broadcasting (see twitch tv or Justin.tv), and not simply streaming as in media servers.
