anthy-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such fil

Hi guys, I installed Linux Mint Maya on my friend's ooooooooold laptop a few weeks ago.
I am not sure what happened but now when the computer boots and Maya comes up, an error window pops up every 10 seconds that says
"anthy-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
I hit ok, and it comes up again and again.
I tried googling and there was no obvious solution
