I installed linux mint cinnamon and the screen resolution was messed up. On the left of the screen, there was a black line covering 1/8 of my monitor. Also, I can't see the bar at the bottom of the screen, so I can't open any apps. I tried changing the screen resolution, but none of them work perfectly. Help?
P.S. When I move a window, it takes forever. Everything else runs fast. How can I fix this?

Install Linux Mint with MATE not with cinnamon
