Open mic in blackground

I was playing I heart radio when I stop it I heard someone with a open mic in the background it was for sure a person I listen for about 5 min then they turn off the mic after this I went to a new web page and heard then a again don't know if they are listening in on me or how and why I can hear them but I want it stop. I running linux mint mate and Clear for a ISP I hook by cable to a router there one window pc hook wireless to it but that for sure not what I hearing.
how can I stop this or find the mic and make sure they can't listen in on me
