[LM13 MATE] - MP3 Thumbnails

Hello,

I have a question, and googled for hours in the World Wide Web, but have not found a solution for my problem.

In Linux Mint 13 MATE the totem-thumbnailer makes thumbnails of the videos in file-manager "Caja". But for the MP3-Files there is only the standard-symbol.

I knew that in my old Linux Mint 10 Gnome-Edition there were thumbnails of my mp3-files in Nautilus. (I mean embedded covers)

How can I fix the problem? I want to see thumbnails of MP3-Files in Caja.

Sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker, but I post here to reach as much people as possible.

Please help. :)

Thanks for your reply, but Cover-Thumbnailer ist not what i am looking for. With Cover Thumbnailer only directory-icons get a thumbnail.

I want that every of my mp3-files (with embedded album art) are shown in the filemanager with the cover-thumbnail.

I knew that this was working in Mint 10, but with the beginning of Mint 11, this didn't work anymore.

Has anyone other an idea? :)

I am still on LM10 and the deal-breaker for upgrading to LM13 Mate is Cover Thumbnailer. I have been under the impression it would only work with Nautilus. If there is a way to use CT with Caja, please, elaborate.

Cover-Thumbnailer works with LM13 and 14 under Cinnamon, but so far I haven't been able to get it to work with either in MATE. If you want to run it under Cinnamon, download the 0.8.3 package and install via the script. For some reason the DEB file installs 0.8.2 which results in the GUI working but no thumbnails being generated.
