Changing where Documents/Videos/etc point to?

Hi there, I am running a dual boot setup of Windows 7 and Cinnamon 13. I have a partition set up specifically for storing all my documents, videos, downloads, pictures etc and I have configured Windows to point all it's Documents, Videos, etc folders to the equivalent folders in the other partition. However I can't figure out how to do this in Mint Cinnamon. Old guides for Ubuntu say you should be able to go to Home and in the side menu click "Remove" on the folders there and drag the ones from my storage partition to where the original ones were. This doesn't work in Cinnamon. The closest I have gotten to putting links from my storage partition in the file manager is adding them as Bookmarks, but it's not a very clean solution. Sorry if this isn't making much sense, it's all a bit hard to describe clearly... Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Best is to install Ubuntu Tweak and edit the lines there. I don't know any other solution.

Ubuntu tweak with Mint support:

There are always multiple ways to solve a problem in Linux. One may consider this method too much trouble but if you are interested you could "bind" the folders together as outlined here:

Using Bind to Remount Part of a Partition: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=74321

I use the Upstart method ( option [3] ) to bind the Documents folder in my Data partition to the Documents folder in my home folder in lieu of a separate /home partition.

There is no better solution than installing Ubuntu Tweak while dealing with Linux issues, which may be a little complex but gives good results eventually
