Which way to go for NAS?

i just bought a pogoplug nas...wich works fine...but for the moment I'm not abble to mount it as a drive...

I can access my data by the web interface.. and it works fine....

if somebody knows ways to mount it under linux mint 13 / 64bits ?

some help would be much appreciated.....

Actually Ubuntu Server/Any linux distro is fine for an NAS if you are willing to spend some time configuring it. But I won't recommend using an old laptop. They tend to use a lot electricity and that can be a problem if you want to turn it on 7x24 (not sure how your laptop performs, though).
