Shortcuts (maybe hot keys) Help

At some point while surfing, doing some idle poking about looking for information about Linux, I came across some commands using combinations of keys to execute commands. One of the few I can remember is alt-d. That combo will highlight the address bar so you don't have to go through all the hassle of deleting the current address. Can someone point me to where I might find such a list?
