UI not loading, exept Skype (Cinnamon)

I just tried to do something about my notifications on Linux Mint 13, to remove the popup window by Skype by following this: http://scott.cm/skype-auto-popup-with-cinnamon/

But now when I log in, it only shows the Skype window, and nothing else.

I tried logging in using Gnome, instead of Cinnamon, and tried changing it back with dconf-editor. But the problem still remains, even when the notification style is 1 (default). While doing this, I met another problem, which apparently seems to be that I cannot type anything while using Gnome instead.

I'm using Mint 13 with Cinnamon 64bit.

Any ideas?

EDIT: A little more information: The skype window shows at start, and I'm able to open chats with people, but I'm not able to type anything, nor can I close them. I'd bring a screenshot, but I don't know how I would be able to do that.
