Hello everyone.
Just installed Linux Mint 13 (the Cinnamon version) a few days ago and everything was working great, but suddenly i can't do a clean shut down. Everytime i do it, i get long lines of text an the system never recovers of it, gotta force a shutdown holding the button. There are long lines of text moving fast but i spotted a few lines:
Watchdog detected hard lockup on CPU 0 (an later CPU 1, 2, 3, etc.)
Pulseaudio tainted
Bug: unable to handle kernel paging request
call trace
don't know how to fix it. Im using a Dell Inspiron 620
Intel® Core™ i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz × 4
HD 1.5 TB
Linux Mint 13, CInnamon, 64-bit

I'll appreciate any help.

Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I fixed a similar problem when I semi-completely reinstalled my system during an upgrade. I believe it was from 9 to 10, and I kept my /home partition.

Unfortunately, I started having similar problem recently, after trying out "sm pm-hibernate", which simply turned off my laptop.

I'm running on HP ProBook 4530s, Intel® Core™ i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz × 4, Intel/ATI dual graphics, same system as ivsoto.
