Hello everybody,
Does anybody know if there is a way to change the contrast of the blue bar, the one that is used for scrolling, download progress and especially to mark a selection with the mouse?
Text under this dark blue color is hard to read, unless you raise your brightness up to 100%.

Give this a try, you may have to play around with it a little bit.

Open Mint config - select desktop - select font there are a bunch of preferences for you to tweak. Also hit the details button for more tweaking.

Thanks mumbo719 for your quick response.
You saved the day. By changing theme ( I selected Clear Looks), I now have no color at all on mouse selections, and that has increased visibility 100%.
The scroll bar is also light gray. And Firefox menus are shaded in a nice light blue color with text changing from black to white .
