I am really fond of the default mint 14 background for MATE. I haven't seen the others yet, but was hoping to see a darker version with glowy letters, etc. Can this be done?
thanks

I'm kinda waiting on KDE 4.10 when there is supposed to be easier animated wallpaper creation. Static wallpaper, eh, kinda gettin old.

I was wondering ,Is Gimp used for creating backgrounds ? If so ,you might experiment with different colours and layers ,etc.
I have never tried to create a background .

wow, those are both fantastic; did you say the second one is derived from the first or the original or default?
